Convertor DALI a RS232 bus

DALI232 has two areas of usage:

• Control and monitoring bus DALI master systemSetting the device on the bus DALI

Control and monitoring bus DALI master system

The control device may send messages with different length on DALI bus. In addition to the standard reports there can be send eDALI, NEMA DALI, DIGIDIM DALI (Helvar) and other user selectable. DALI232 supports Multimaster communication (multiple devices that actively sends data on the bus DALI). Master system can send data anytime because collision of messages on the DALI bus is handled by convertor. DALI232 sends all the ongoing DALI bus communication to the master system. Master system is also informed about other events on DALI bus (data collision, bus short-circuit or connection of mains voltage).

Setting the device on the bus DALI

Setting the DALI device can be done with program DALIconfig, which is here to download for free.

Not only all products from Foxtron company can be configurate - DALI4sw, DALIrel, DALIpwm, DALIpwm15, but also products from different producers.

DALI232 can convert DALI messages either to ASCII or Modbus RTU.
